Rev. Lesley Robinson
Lesley is no stranger to youth work having worked professionally with the Young Ireland Movement throughout the Midlands from 1986-1990 (her South Eastern counterpart for some of the time was no less a person than Rev. Arthur Minion!). Having been very involved in Diocesan youth work for the last number of years and is regularly to be found providing food of either a physical or spiritual nature on camps and weekends away. Following the Youth Council Annual General Meeting she currently holds the position of P.R.O. on the Diocesan Youth Council Committee.

Already she will be well known to many of the young people in her assigned area already, particularly in the Cloughjordan, Nenagh and Birr Groups of Parishes (having spent time working in all three groups over the past few years) as well as in her own parish group of Clonfert. She is also well known to the clergy, having joined their ranks last June as a Deacon, and is due to be ordained Priest in Banagher on the 22nd June this year.
Lesley is married to Keith and they have two children Nicole and Danielle, who often accompany their Mum on youth council events.

Edward Buckingham

Edward was born and educated in London and studied to be an engineer but his life changed and he spent 25 years as a soldier. During his time in various armies he travelled widely and was involved in youth training for many years. He married a lady from Limerick and later spent five years farming in West Limerick. After another period abroad he became administrator of the Cheshire Home outside Newcastlewest and worked there for 10 years until his retirement.
He worships in the Rathkeale Group of Parishes, where he has held many offices including Lay Reader, Warden, Parish Secretary and Parochial Nominator. He also serves on the local national school Board of Management. Edward loves to go sailing, “mess about with machinery” and read books. He professes to have a library with some 3000 books!!!
As the oldest of our Youth Advisors, he says that he hopes his stamina enables him to keep up with the demands that he expects to be made of him.
